** SOLD** Vega longneck "folk" banjo from the 1960's. The SS-5 Folklore "Pete Seeger" Longneck Model 5 String Banjo, made in Boston, shaded maple finish, laminated maple neck and rim.

These banjos were typically tuned down to "E" in standard 5-string "G" tuning and were the result of Pete Seeger's need for a banjo that could comfortably accommodate the typical blues guitarist's penchant for that particular key!

  • Split maple neck with Sunburst gloss finish

  • Rosewood fingerboard

  • Dot markers at 6th,8th,10th,13th,15th,20th and 25th frets
  • Rear facing geared tuners with cream plastic buttons
  • Ebony faceplate on headstock
  • Black plastic truss rod cover
